Forte Copacabana - Posto6

Many historians believe that the city of Rio de Janeiro had guaranteed his safety because of the São João Fort, strategically located at the entrance of Guanabara Bay.

The fortress of Santa Cruz, in Niterói, where it has one of the most beautiful views of Rio, was used both by the French and the Portugueses for the maintenance of the territory of Rio de Janeiro.

The Copacabana Fort, built in the early 20th century, aimed to strengthen the defense of the city with a more modern weapons system, helping the former strongholds of the colonial period.
